UPPER EYELID SURGERY

As you get older, your skin loses its elasticity and gravity pulls down on the soft tissues of your eyelids, causing them to sag.  Excess skin in an upper eyelid can sometimes hang down low enough to interfere with your vision.

Eyelid reduction surgery or blepharoplasty is an operation to remove this excess skin from your eyelids.   A “Bleph” will improve the appearance of saggy, droopy or “tired looking” upper eyelids to create a more open and youthful eye area.

The procedure is done with a local anaesthetic and recovery time is approximately 10 days.

EAR LOBE REPAIR WITH SURGERY

Damaged earlobes that have become split or torn due to physical injury or through the wearing of heavy earrings over long periods of time, can be safely repaired under local anaesthetic. Surgery is simple and straight forward and recovery time is minimal, with earlobes typically healing within 1 to 2 weeks.

EAR LOBES AND DERMAL FILLER

Dermal Filler is an effective treatment for ear shaping and ear wrinkles, by injecting dermal filler (hyaluronic acid) at the base of the lobe you can lift the opening and have your earrings sit better and give your ears a more youthful appearance.

MOLE, SKIN TAGS & BENIGN LESION REMOVAL

Pigmented lesions, brown or black spots, and birthmarks are skin spots that are usually moles created from an excessive concentration of melanin in the skin. Melanin is what gives your skin its colour and areas of high melanin concentration can be present at birth, caused by age, or overexposure to the sun. The most commonly treated lesions are solar lentigines (commonly known as sunspots), freckles, and birthmarks.

Most pigmented lesions, when completely removed, will not return. However, excessive sun exposure and lack of sunscreen use may cause new lesions to occur. Pigmented lesions that change in size, border shape, and colour that may itch or sting should be checked to rule out melanoma.

Skin tags, the soft hanging pieces of skin, are benign tumours and can appear anywhere on the body, especially where skin rubs again other skin or clothing.  They are not dangerous and are easy to remove.

Removal of moles, skin tags and other benign lesions is done via surgical excision or laser therapy.

SKIN CHECK

Do you have moles, freckles, capillaries, veins, or pigmentation that you would like to remove or have treated?

Is that mole or freckle just a harmless spot or something sinister?

It is important to get to know your skin and check it regularly for any new or changing lesions.

THREAD LIFTS

A thread lift is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that helps to restore lost facial volume.  For many patients, the thread lift procedure can result in a relaxed, refreshed appearance, while preserving and enhancing the natural contour of the face.

The treatment is ideal for:

·        reducing jowls and strong nasolabial folds,

·        strengthening jawlines

·        smoothing premature ageing skin

·        lifting drooping soft tissue of the mid and lower face

The threads are inserted within the layers of the skin, to stimulate and accelerate your own collagen and elastin production, creating a natural facial lifting.

These threads are made from a dissolving suture material, leaving your own natural collagen in the treated area, resulting in a lifted, plumper and more youthful complexion.

The results are immediately apparent and continue to improve over time as the threads dissolve, resulting in progressively tighter skin and redefined facial contours.

The procedure is relatively simple and convenient, with no downtime and results generally last between 6 and 18 months.
